Jean Garcia is known in the Philippine show business for her notable antagonistic roles both in film and television. She is known for her appearances on hit shows like, “Pangako Sa’Yo”, “Kampanerang Kuba”, “Vendetta”, and “ Dyesebel”. It was her great acting skills that kept her in the limelight throughout the years. However, aside from her career, being a mom also keeps her busy.
The award-winning actress has two children, a daughter named, Jennica and a son, Kotaro. Jean was at the peak of her career when she discovered that she was pregnant with her daughter with Jigo Garcia. Still, she had no regrets and mentioned she never thought of aborting her.
Jennica she remained close with her father though her parents separated. Jigo shared that his daughter asked permission from him to enter show business after finishing high school.
She then pursued an acting career. In 2007, she made her first on-screen appearance of GMA’s “Impostora.” She also starred in the film “Hide and Seek” along Martin Escudero and Kris Bernal. The actress got numerous projects in the Kapuso network and appeared on the tv shows, “Gagambino”, “Adik Sa ‘Yo”, “Pilyang Kerubin”, and “Captain Barbell.”

However, she has taken a break from showbiz to focus on her daughter with husband, Alwyn Uytingco. The two got married in 2014 at Victory Church in Greenhills, San Juan City. Last year, the actress gave birth to an adorable little girl named, Athena Mori.
Not a lot of people see Jean Garcia’s son. In 2002, the actress got pregnant with her second child. Apparently, she was then in a relationship with a Japanese advertising executive. She mentioned neither his name nor personal details about him. Also, she does not receive any support from her ex.
Jean considers her son as a ‘miracle baby’ for being born and surviving at 6 months. Her water broke when she was in Tagaytay. The long trip caused her to water to break. For two weeks, she was on bed rest and later doctors decided that Caesarean section was needed to save the baby.

Furthermore, Kotaro was incubated for two months before he was out of the hospital. Jean said that her son was so small he looked like a kitten. She was thankful that he grew up healthy and without defects though born premature.
Now, Garcia’s son is a handsome 17-year-old. Despite his age, his mother still calls him her little prince. She admires her son’s enthusiasm and she is proud of him.
Jean has shared photos of her charming son on social media. The young man seems to be passionate about basketball. He also appears to be close with his sister and her husband.
