Indeed, the “Wildflower” series is one of the best revenge dramas out there. The show is a complete package itself, tackling a wide range of genres—from romance to melodrama, from suspense to crime, from politics to gunfight, among others—and pulling off each storyline, which is why another season was granted for viewers to enjoy.
Last May, the series was supposed to finally close its curtains. But given its success, the story of “Ivy Aguas” has been extended for a second season. In an interview, the show’s lead star Maja Salvador said she and all the cast and crew were extremely elated that Wildflower is doing great.
“Kasi sa panahon ngayon, hindi mo matatantsa or hindi ka puwede mag-expect kung matatanggap ka ba ng mga manonood kaagad or hindi, kasi ang tatalino na rin ng audience natin. So we are very happy na pa-Season 2 kami at sobrang ang daming nagmamahal ng ‘Wildflower,’” she said.
“Bawat artista na gumaganap sa mga characters ay talagang todo bigay. Lahat kami iisa 'yung gusto naming mangyari, ang mapaganda 'yung show, ang makapagbigay ng magandang show. Binigyan kami ng isang magandang timeslot so talagang buhos lahat ng kayang ibigay,” she added.
The Kapamilya star also assured everyone that they were preparing for a “wild” surprise.
“Itong papasok na Season 2, pinapangako namin na mas magiging wild pa ang mga reaction niyo, magiging wild pa ang mga revelation at marami pang wild na mga twist na mangyayari,” she said.
And just right what she promised the viewers, "Wildflower’s" episode 125th, a.k.a. The Wildest Wedding, served a huge revelation. The intense scene depicted Ivy Aguas wearing a black wedding gown, and a televised footage within the whole town wherein Arnaldo Ardiente admitted to murdering Nanay Carlota, Nimfa, and witnesses.
Fans and followers were #shookt and the episode set the social media platforms a-buzz. The casts’ performances were truly outstanding.
However, the top-rating afternoon program still could not get away from minor dents despite topping the charts. A few netizens noticed inaccuracies from the series and made fun of it on social media.
One Twitter user, Elijah Legazpi, posted a screen-cap of Ivy Aguas, injecting a syringe on Arnaldo’s wrist. He said, “Bwisit ka Ivy, may IV line naman si Arnaldo. At kalian pa naging site for IM injection and wrist area, aber?”
He also noted a prop blunder. In the scene when Ivy Aguas was being rushed to the emergency room, she mistakenly wore a nebulizer mask instead of an oxygen mask.
Elijah Legazpi appeared to be a medical practitioner. He updating a Facebook status, calling out the production staff of the show for being inaccurate on depicting basic medical scenarios. Check out what he said below.
What can you say about the blunders? Do you agree with the netizen that the production staff should be more careful and accurate with props? Or do you think these are just minor mistakes that should be ignored? Share your comments and reactions below.
