Recently, Megastar Sharon Cuneta became a hot topic for "The Voice Teens" viewers after she was allegedly criticized by fellow judge, Broadway Diva Lea Salonga.
Rumor has it that Sharon was disappointed with the results and really wanted her bet Jeremy to win. Speculations arose that Sharon was disappointed, which caused her to refrain from congratulating coach Sarah Gernonimo and her pupil, winner Jona Soquite.
After a video of Sharon allegedly snubbing Sarah and Jona made the rounds online, fans of the singing competition thought that Lea Salonga's "shady" tweets were pertaining to the Megastar. Lea tweeted something about humility and modesty.
She was asked to drop a name but refused to do so. The Megastar received negative feedback from netizens because of these rumors.
Sharon already addressed these rumors on Facebook and said she merely did not have the chance to congratulate Jona because they were asked to evacuate the stage for Jona’s final song number. She also clarified that she was unable to talk to Sarah Geronimo because Sarah was already engaged in an interview.
According to the Megastar, she is in good terms with Sarah. She also shared that Sarah has a genuine and kind heart. She just hopes that all Sarah's fans could be the same as their idol.
Weeks after the issue, Sharon shared that she was suffering from depression.
"When how you felt on this TV show months ago is close to how you are feeling tonight."
We sincerely hope the Megastar recovers quickly. Don’t give up the fight, Sharon!
