Arci Muñoz has been thrust into controversy due to rumors that she had extensive cosmetic surgery on her nose and many netizens have been roasting the actress and saying nasty things about her looks.
Arci revealed that she had to have her nose reconstructed because of an unfortunate headbanging accident involving her nose and left eye. However, many people believe that she had surgery out of a misplaced sense of vanity and not just to fix any superficial damage.
Now, the “King of Talk” Boy Abunda has weighed in. He fiercely defended the actress on his talk show “Tonight With Boy Abunda.”
Boy cut to the chase and immediately addressed the bashing that Arci was receiving because of her looks.
Tito Boy showed an older photo of Arci taken during her “Pasion de Amor” days and placed it side-by-side against the actress’ most recent pic, which was taken from a makeup artist’s Instagram account.
Tito Boy said:
“Pero mga kaibigan, let’s put it in context. 2014, si Arci po ay underwent a surgical procedure matapos niyang maaksidente. Naalala ko ‘to mula sa isang, gig. That damaged her nose and eyes.”
“And then in an interview, inamin din ni Arci. The use of lip liners and lipsticks. Gusto niya nang malaking lips.”
Boy Abunda said that Arci has yet to speak up about the controversy and criticism surrounding her. He added that the comments section on Arci’s Instagram account is disabled, for now, at least. It’s hard to blame Arci for wanting to insulate herself from the online hate.
Tito Boy continued:
“If she chooses to do something with her lips and nose, let’s leave her in peace. Kanya po ‘yun. At sana pagtuunan din natin ng pansin, lalo na tayong mga taga-industriya at mga kaibigan ni Arci, na she’s a beautiful person so, we would talk about the nose, about the lips, what about what kind of a person she is? What about her talent?”
Footage of Boy’s defense of Arci was uploaded on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s official YouTube page, and it has already gained 47,301 views as of this writing.
