In his interview with Kris Aquino for Kris TV, Joel said that Aficionado has 3,565 retail outlets, all of which are generating profit. Despite his success, he is still seeking to widen his reach with potential franchises.
Due to his financial power, Joel Cruz has the ability to pretty much buy whatever he wants, including a beautiful mansion located in Camp John Hay. The house has a nickname too, it's called the White House of the Lord of Scents. The White House has been a tourist attraction from the day it was revealed to the public.
The four-story house is 300 square meters large and it has a glass tower! The glass tower houses a large, 12 meter high, intricate glass chandelier.
Although Joel received criticism due to his house possibly threatening ruin the iconic image of Baguio as a rustic getaway, the perfume emperor remains undaunted.
Kris Aquino's interview gives us a peek at the interior design of Joel's White House. High ceilings and a motif composed of white, brown, and gold truly make the house look elegant. With little pops of color from various decorations and flowers, this mansion fits the classy lifestyle of the Aficionado founder.
In 1999, Joel entered the world of perfumes after he followed his dream of selling affordable but high-quality fragrances. He opened his first kiosk at Ever Gotesco Central. Thus, the Aficionado Empire was born. This humble start paved the way for this businessman to have such a lavish lifestyle.
