Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas started as a love team in the 90’s hit drama, “Mara Clara.” They were both in their teens when their romance developed and not a lot of people thought their relationship would last.
Both of them dated for 11 years and have been married for 13 years. After 24 years of being together, they now have a happy family with four kids, Gian-Christopher, Aquisha, Grant-Carlin at and Gavin-Cale.
But with four kids to take care of all while juggling being a good wife and an actress, one couldn’t help but wonder how Gladys handles everything.
The actress now reveals her secret on how she is able to raise such happy children. She admitted that she used to be overprotective of them. However, that all changed when she realized that she should allow them to discover things on their own.

“Dati overprotective ako, pero natutunan ko na sige, let them enjoy their moment as a kid. Let them explore,” Gladys said.
She mentioned that she does allow her kids to do things on their own and play, but makes sure that they also have boundaries to avoid accidents.
When she has free time, Gladys makes sure that she spends it with her family. This hands-on mom does everything for her children. She even goes to her sons’ school during their lunch break. In fact, she brings them to school and takes that time to bond with them.

“Basta para sa anak, all to give ka lalo na 'yung lahat ng pagmamahal, emotionally 'ayun. Hindi nauubos-ubos 'yun basta para sa anak. A mother’s love is unconditional, kasi you just keep on giving without expecting anything in return,” the actress explained.
Furthermore, Gladys is also proud to have breastfed all her four children until they were almost two years old. She mentioned that it was a practice that she learned from her mother. According to her, it was all worth it as it had many health benefits.
The Kapuso star is grateful for all the lessons that she learned from her mom as it helped her raise her children. All of her mom’s advice has guided her on being a good mother.
Also, she is a proud housewife and said that being one is not easy. "Pag house wife ka lahat hands-on ka hindi lang sa anak mo, sa gawaing bahay,” Gladys stated.
