In 2016, fans were shocked when host-actress Julia Clarete suddenly announced her departure from the longest-running Filipino noontime show “Eat Bulaga.” The variety show had been her home for more than a decade.
Nonetheless, Julia assured fans that she will come back once she gets her life in order.
“Nakatira na kasi ako sa Kuala Lumpur ngayon… Pasensiya na kung hindi ako nakapag-padespedida man lang. Pero hayaan niyo, pag naayos ko na ang lahat, babalik ako para magsama-sama tayo. Sa #tamangpanaghon,” Julia said.
Based on Julia’s Instagram posts, it’s safe to say that the former “dabarkads” is now living a modest life with her long-time Irish boyfriend-turned-husband Gareth McGeown. The couple tied the knot earlier this year in an intimate wedding ceremony.
Celebrity friends were quick to congratulate the newlyweds on Instagram, including Pauleen Luna-Sotto and Iza Calzado. Julia and Gareth were dating for six years before they got married.

However, despite how pleasant Julia’s life is at the moment, there are those who still find fault in every situation. Recently, a rude netizen shamed the actress by calling her names such as “lusyang” [sic] and “payat.”
After seeing the basher’s rude comments, Julia did not hold back. On Facebook, Julia posted a screenshot of her comeback to the basher who insulted her.
The online user apparently told her, “Ang payat na nya na lusyang at guys parang may pasa cya left arm nya.”

Julia then replied sarcastically with, “Nakakahiya naman sayo…”
Julia seemed unfazed. She added, “Hahaha! Masarap din pala pumatol paminsan-minsan. Wag po mag-alala mga Kabarangay, di ko gagawing hobby ang pagpatol. Hihihi!”
Through a comment, the host-actress advised people to not stress out too much from people who bring negativity.
