The struggle is real! Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo gave a glimpse to her fans how she prepares as Miyo in the hit action-drama, “La Luna Sangre.” What’s the hardest part? Her wig, to be exact.
The young actress went live and shared a footage of how she takes off Miyo’s wig after a day of shooting for the said show. The more than 5-minute video showed Kathryn and two of her assistants, Mike and Erika, aboard a service vehicle.
The tedious process begins once the wig is removed. Kathryn jokingly said, “Pakitapon na yan [wig]. Sa inyo nalang kung sinong may gusto.” Her assistants quipped that the wig looked like a rat.
According to the young star, before putting on the fake hair, her hair has to be tightly braided to make it flat on her head. The flatter it is, the better. “Sobrang flat na braid. Sobrang hassle na braid,” she remarked.
Afterwards, they will use oil and 99% alcohol to remove the glue around the hairline. Instead of just applying the oil, it has to be massaged on the surface like sideburns or areas where the glue should stick. “Mahirap alisin yung glue. Kadiri.”
“Imagine-in niyo, everyday, yung pawis niyo nandyan lang kasi nakakulob lang,” pointing to her braided locks. “Sobrang hirap ng Miyo.”
“Yung best part ng araw nato is kapag naalis na yung braid tapos pwede niyo na ganyanin buhok niyo,” Kathryn said as she vigorously scratched her hair.
The “La Luna Sangre” star also revealed the reason why she always wears caps during photo ops on set: it’s because of her flattened hair. “So pag nagpapapicture, ang panget!”
One by one, the actress and her assistants began removing the hair pins. These are set aside for future use, they joked. “Uulitin niya yan sa next taping,” Kathryn piped up.
Slowly, the braids were unrolled from the star’s scalp, carefully loosening each one because of the tightness. Once finished, Kathryn furiously scratched her now-wavy hair.
“Ayan! See, ang sarap mag-scratch,” closing her eyes in ecstasy. “I’m free!”
