We all know that Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista has love for art. She paints in every kind of medium she could get her hands. In fact, the actress conducted an art exhibit, titled ‘Carry Your HeART,’ in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig last year.
Heart also steered another exhibition, named ‘Love Marie’ (her birth name), where she featured oil paintings, most of which highlighted women. What’s more impressive was the fact that her artworks reached the international level as they were presented at the Singapore-based Chan Hampe Galleries—and Heart is the first-ever Filipina to showcase her works there.
“I actually had such an amazing time. We showcased six of my paintings. It was a success kasi ang dami ng pumunta. It was overwhelming kasi hindi lang mga Pilipino ang pumunta, so nakakatuwa,” she said.
In one of her paintings wherein a woman was depicted unhappy, Heart explained, “She holds a broken heart. That one would be my favorite. I guess it best describes some of the ups and downs of being in show business, your heartaches, about being an artist…I made that painting because of that.”
Heart also shared that it took her a while to finish the painting, adding that she relates to it and considers it “pretty special” to her.

Meanwhile, the Kapuso star found another love—still related to art, though such activity requires a green thumb—through making terrariums!
In her recent Instagram post, Heart shared that she had fun creating a terrarium for the first time.
“With drinks and nibbles done, it was time to make our own terrariums! ???? ‘Twas actually fun to do - you'll need a bowl or container with opening, a combination of pumice and soil, pebbles, and succulents like cactus.
Fill the bottom with 1.5 inches of pebbles, add 2.5 inches layer of soil, and plant each succulent,” Heart wrote.
“Play around with the arrangement, use different types and colors of plants, and finish off with some landscaping. You can water every two weeks or once a month but it's best to expose them in direct sunlight once a week.”
